We shall describe calligraphy lessons from an aged postal clerk, Sgt. Protsenko, designers Gannushkin and Lazursky, two construction workers, and a sofer. We shall discuss the lettering artist’s lifelong contract, as well as the nonspecific relationship between writing, calligraphy and typography.
